Diversifying innovation: Inviting civil society on stage is an online open course of 8 modules (4-5 weeks) that focuses on why and how to include civil society in innovation. The course is structured around a story of a real QHC (anonymized) and is accompanied by a video storytelling, which opens each module.
Target
The course is open to all who:
- are interested in cross-sectoral and multi stakeholder innovation
- relate to the solution of complex challenges
- are in charge of organizing and building teams
- want to find out how to successfully manage cooperation across sectors
- would like to explore QHC in their local networks
In other words, the course is open to “multipliers” among the different sectors of society as:
- innovation practitioners (researchers, project managers, leaders of initiatives), policy-makers, decision makers and interested civil society representatives
Course content
The course addresses the questions of:
- What is QHC and why it is important to include civil society in innovation
- How to identify stakeholders and how to collaborate with them
- How to reflect on and measure impact of a QHC.
Learning outcomes
On completion of the course, participants will be able to:
- reflect on the importance and relevance of quadruple helix collaborations (QHC)
- put in context QHC in innovation by identifying main barriers and opportunities
- identify tools, methodologies and strategic guidelines that support the design, implementation and evaluation of successful diverse multi stakeholder collaborations
