Diversifying innovation: Tackling grand challenges with collaborative action” is a 3-day course that addresses QHCs focusing on one Sustainable Development Goal defined by the trainer/organizer. The course has a strong focus on creating alliances and to define or improve an existing project, initiative or idea in collaborative innovation.
Target
This course is open to all who:
- are interested in cross-sectoral and multi stakeholder innovation
- relate to the solution of complex challenges
- are in charge of organizing and building teams
- would like to know inspiring innovation practices in their local networks
- want to create a professional /thematic network to approach QHC
In other words, the course is open to “multipliers” among the four helices such as:
- innovation practitioners (researchers, project managers, leaders of initiatives), policy-makers, decision makers and interested civil society representatives
Content
The course addresses questions such as:
- What is QHC, why is it important and how it comes to life (with examples)
- How to identify stakeholders and how to collaborate with them
- How to define, plan and implement a collaborative innovation
Learning outcome
On completion of this course, participants will be able to:
- recognize the importance and relevance of quadruple helix collaborations (QHC) in innovation
- describe the crucial aspects for QHC in research and innovation
- identify how to address and engage the (relevant groups of) civil society of a certain innovation field
- consider relevant aspects to successfully navigate the diversity of a QHC
- adapt and translate tools and knowledge to design a more responsible innovation process
